PORTO

PORTO is a new stratified residential development by Wang On Properties, situated in Ap Lei Chau, Southern District of Hong Kong Island, with an expected launch in the fourth quarter of 2025.

PORTO comprises 174 units in total, including 28 standard open-plan units, 77 one-bedroom units, 55 two-bedroom units, 11 special units with platforms, and 3 duplex units with rooftops.

In September 2022, the Buildings Department approved the building plans for the project covering 17-23 Ap Lei Chau Main Street, 7-9 Ping Lan Street, and 37-39 San Shi Street. The development is planned as a 27-storey commercial and residential property with a total gross floor area of approximately 6,336 square metres, including around 5,629 square metres for residential use and about 708 square metres for commercial purposes. There are discrepancies in the address range of the plans compared to the project at 9 Ping Lan Street, and it is anticipated that the developer will make significant revisions to the plans.

In terms of views, units facing south are expected to have relatively open vistas, while mid-to-low floor units with other orientations will mainly overlook the surrounding buildings.

For transportation, the development is approximately 8 to 10 minutes’ walk from Exit A1 and A2 of Lei Tung Station on the MTR South Island Line. Along Ap Lei Chau Main Street and Ap Lei Chau Bridge Road, there are multiple bus and minibus routes connecting to Aberdeen and various parts of Hong Kong Island.

Regarding living amenities, the project includes commercial floors. It is adjacent to the private development Yat Nam and numerous local shops and specialty restaurants. A 10-plus-minute walk leads to Lei Tung Estate Market and shopping centre.

In terms of community recreational facilities, the development is near Ap Lei Chau Waterfront Promenade Community Garden, Ap Lei Chau Park, and San Shi Street Rest Garden. The area also features Ap Lei Chau Sports Centre, Ap Lei Chau Wind Tower Park, as well as Deep Water Bay Yacht Club, Mount Johnston, and Aberdeen Promenade, catering to daily leisure needs.
