Chan Wing Kit, Vice Chairman of Midland Realty Asia Pacific and Managing Director of Residential Department, stated that recent luxury property transactions are mainly driven by investors, accounting for 60% of the clients attending today. Among them, a group of clients spent over HKD 41 million to purchase one 3-bedroom unit and one 1-bedroom unit in the project for long-term rental investment.
Chan Wing Kit pointed out that benefiting from the wealth effect, luxury property buyers are seizing the opportunity to enter the market, and the proportion of investors has increased significantly. With new developments being launched one after another in August, it is expected that monthly primary transactions will reach 2,500 cases.
